The articles received for publication in POL are sent to two reviewers for blind review. It is to be mentioned here that after the articles are received will undergo a preliminary scrutiny with emphasis on the suitability for its publication. If the article successfully passes through the preliminary scrutiny then it will be sent for blind review by two reviewers. The articles may be considered for final edition on the basis of reviewers’ reports. The reviewers may recommend for publication on the basis of its relevance or may suggest for modification or may reject. Accordingly, the author(s) will be intimated about the status of publication or modification or rejection. The entire process may take two months depending upon busy schedule of the reviewers. The authors are assured for quality publication. The author(s) will be held responsible for any legal dispute for any plagiarized portion, if detected. Hence, the authors are requested to send declaration about the genuineness of their manuscript.
The article will be summarily rejected, if the texts are found as plagiarized. POL will never compromise in this aspect. POL will take the case of any sorts of plagiarized article seriously. The editorial board will put the article into the anti plagiarism software and if the article is found to be plagiarized then it will strictly be rejected without any notice thereof. Therefore the Editorial Board of POL requests the researchers and authors to contribute only original articles for publication.
After receiving the reviewers’ report recommending for publication, the expert editing work will be started to give a final shape. The titles of the articles finally selected for publication may be modified, if required. The claims by any author (s) regarding the change of title partially or fully will never be entertained. The decisions of the experts are final. The articles received or selected for publication may be sent to the experts who are having specialized in the area concerned.
The designing and formatting of each article selected for publication will be accomplished by professional designers. The website of the POL has also been designed by a professional web designer to meet the international standards.
The statistical reports in reveal the data regarding the number of articles received, accepted and rejected at the preliminary review stage, number of articles finally accepted and rejected. The data are presented in the form of bar graphs or polygon for easy understating about the status of publication.
Citation Reports of POL offers a systematic, objective means to critically evaluate the status of citation or reference. It helps to measure research influence and impact at the journal and category levels. Basic citation data may reveal the followings:
- The number of articles published during the year
- The number of times the articles in the journal were cited during the year
- The number of citations made from articles published in the journal of a particular year
- The journal impact factor
- The journal immediacy index, the number of citations that year to articles published the same year
- The journal cited half life, the median age of the articles in the journal that were cited by other journals during the year.
Indexation of a journal is considered a reflection of its quality. Indexed journals are considered to be of higher scientific quality as compared to non-indexed journals. Journal will be accessible worldwide therefore inclusion of a journal in online resources centre enhances exposure, visibility, readability and reach of a journal at global level and that may enhance subscribers the base.
